I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and teaching for 20+ years. Banjo and Mandolin have always been part of the mix along with bass guitar, Cuban tres, ukelele, anything with strings and frets, as well as computers and composition. I have played in many bands with lots of different styles - jazz, rock, funk, bluegrass, gypsy, Django jazz, some detuned modern prog type metal.
I was classically trained in London, then later attended the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angles, specialising in jazz guitar, composition and arranging. I was lucky enough to have pivate lessons with the great Ted Greene and Phil Upchurch. More recently I studied gypsy jazz with Lollo Meier in The Netherlands. And also with Sheryl Bailey and Jonathan Kreisberg. I have composed music for film, TV and commercials and have worked with many artists Nigel Kennedy and Robert Trujillo.
I live in Salisbury with my wife and three boys.

I offer private lessons tailored to you or your child either face to face (here in Salisbury or online). Grades are with Rock School, Trinity, ABRSM, debut, 1-8. I can also run workshops here or in schools. I have a current DBS certificate.
